I think I would be Coco Chanel, because I admire how she marked the before and after of fashion and changed the way the modern woman dresses.
Tell us a bit about the story behind SmartDresses.
I come from the world of Consulting and Marketing Strategy, nothing to do with fashion. Since I was 14 years old I have been designing and sewing my own clothes; my mother also showed me how to sew work clothes, blazers, etc. Fashion has always been one of my hobbies until I arrived in Spain and, after having my son, decided to create my own pret-a-porter brand. I was able to turn my dream into reality.
Tell us about your product. What do you sell? How do you make it?
I have always had my own sense of style, inspired but not enslaved by trends. SmartDresses is finding its brand image and the way it reaches the public who like it on a daily basis. I sell a concept, a way for dressing for the woman who knows what she wants and wants to have a day-to-day style. A woman without a specific age but with a youthful spirit. A woman who likes to dress comfortably and elegantly at once. I like that she can wear a dress and blazer to work and then take off the jacket and switch her shoes to be ready for dinner with her partner, friends…
A goal to achieve? The next steps for your brand?
To be known as a designer of capsule collections of an original brand with elegante, comfortable and timeless pieces. To grow in the number of physical sales points and an important development in online sales.
