As you heard a few months ago in our blog post, Bloombees was selected as finalist from more than 3,000 companies to be among the 100 best startups in Spain that would present their projects during South Summit 2016. From that day on, we were very excited to work on preparing to participate.
After weeks of mad preparation, that moment of hopeful heart and held breath finally arrived. From October 5-7 we spent three incredible days at La N@ve in Villaverde, Madrid’s answer to Silicon Valley. The Spanish startup world headed toward the N@ve, a pilgrimage to the altar of hundreds of inspirational speakers, the international leaders of today´s best and most innovative businesses in the market.
It has been less than a year since Bloombees’ launch, and an honour for us to have been selected as finalists of the “Startup Competition” that took place during the event. Due to the potential the organizers of South Summit saw in Bloombees, they gave one of our founders, Ryan Stanley, the opportunity to present Bloombees in person before investors and business angels alike.
We are immensely grateful to South Summit as for many years now they have heavily invested in domestic enterprises, supporting startups as a great generator of wealth and jobs. In fact, according to data published by the organization, eight of ten entrepreneurs state the main motivation for launching a project is none other than having seen a real business opportunity.
Back to the office we head with enthusiasm, batteries recharged and ready to GO. The market is changing. Borders are no longer an obstacle. Foreign investors are every day more and more interested in projects in our country. One of Bloombees’ greater ambitions is precisely this: creating a company that is based in Spain but caters for instant sales all over the world.
Thanks to South Summit, we realise that although starting out is not easy, nothing can keep those who truly care about their projects from achieving the success they seek. A great idea needs devotion and energy, and a great team to make it shine.
